About us
- NarsaHome is an ASBL, founded in March 2018.
- Its main mission is to offer oncological hospital treatments at the patient's place of residence. It facilitates exchanges between various healthcare professionals and provides substantial support to its team of independent home nurses specialized in oncology.
- Functionally, it consists of 3 oncology nurse liaison coordinators and a team of independent oncology nurses.
- NarsaHome organizes patient discharge and follow-up in collaboration with the independent oncology nurse. The hospital provides support through its medical team.
- The patient and their loved ones are surrounded, accompanied, and guided. Their safety is at the heart of our concerns.
- Our constant priority is the quality of care provided to patients and the working comfort of our independent nurses.
- The ASBL team specializes in oncology to better meet the specific needs of this pathology, fully aware of the new challenges and realities of home care.
- Home hospitalization is not a new concept, but in recent years, it has been driven by new federal initiatives.
Home Care Oncology

Homecare Oncology involves providing specialized hospital-level care at home that is normally only delivered in hospitals, such as certain anti-cancer chemotherapies, intravenous antibiotic therapies, and specific pediatric care, among others.
This concept differs from "home care," which refers to standard nursing care provided at home. HAD aligns with the current trend of shortening hospital stays or even avoiding hospitalization altogether. It also caters to the preferences of many patients who wish to receive even complex treatments in their familiar home environment.
There are already some initiatives in Belgium, but they remain isolated and lack common operational guidelines. Therefore, it has become necessary to establish a clear reference framework and define who does what and with what responsibilities.
NarsaHome is the only platform of its kind in Belgium. We collaborate with all hospitals in the Province of Liège.
